Ohio National Guard Employment Opportunities

Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) Positions

The Active Guard/Reserve program is open to current Soldiers and Airmen of the Ohio National Guard. The AGR program requires military membership in the Ohio National Guard as a condition of employment. Criteria for AGR positions varies so prospective applicants should click on the job announcement they are interested in for specific guidance on who may apply, and how to apply for the specific position.

Federal Civil Service Technician Positions

There are two Federal Civil Service Technician Programs in the Army and Air National Guard: General Schedule positions (GS) are Administrative in nature (white collar) and Wage Schedule positions (WG/WL/WS) which are maintenance oriented (blue collar). The majority of Technician positions require military membership in the Ohio National Guard as a condition of employment. Exceptions will be labeled as "non-mil positions" in which civilians may also apply.

Technician jobs with title, location, qualifications, and submission deadlines are listed on the job postings pages but you must follow the link to usajobs.com post to apply as all technician jobs go through the USA Jobs website. Do not submit an OF-612; it is obsolete and no longer accepted.

State of Ohio Positions

The state of Ohio employs several individuals at the Ohio Adjutant General's Department. Current openings may be viewed under the State of Ohio tab but all applications for state employee positions at The Ohio Adjutant General's Department go through the state's online Ohio Hiring Management System. Links are provided for each listing.
